A Look Back

Friday, December 27, 2013

If you had told me one year ago today that I would start a fashion blog in 2013 I would have laughed in your face!  Here are almost all my looks from 2013 and I still can't believe it!

I hope you all have enjoyed my ramblings and cheapo fashion ventures.  I am currently working hard to take this blog to the next level so bare with me as I continue my little hiatus.

I can only imagine what stuff I will come up with in 2014.  I hope it's bigger and better :)

Detroit, je t’aime

Monday, December 9, 2013

I went to Detroit last weekend to attend a birthday party for my brother's Grandmother who turned 90 (on his Father's side).  Also, MY father was raised in Detroit as well so I felt it especially important to visit the city for the first time since I was little (and too young to remember).

I must say the city is filled with hard working and wonderful people.  This is amazing to me because in the last few years the city has been literally breaking down.  If you want to know what it might be like on the set of "The Walking Dead", just go to the neighborhood in Detroit where my Father's family is from.

Everyone thinks we should buy American cars because we should promote from within, but really; where is the money going if the city who produces these cars continues to stay in such bad shape?

Anywho, it's always nice to VISIT places that get extremely cold in the winter, and I came prepared with my furry hat, combat boots, and comfy coat (that I got from Zara).  I got lucky and was able to take a few pictures downtown just as the snow started falling.

Here are a few more pics from my trip:

Effing Aladdin Pants

Monday, December 2, 2013

I saw this really cool girl from China rocking some harem pants at work a few weeks ago, and I had to have them!  "They're from China" she says.  Of course!  The American version of harem pants are just kinda boring to me.  So I went online and found these pants on etsy.com, straight from India!  STRAIT FROM INDIA YO.

I paired them with some ridiculous fake glasses I got from Love Culture for $5.  I've had this comfy LOVE PINK sweatshirt for a while now.  This is an example of how you can wear a hood-less sweatshirt!

I got these shoes from the ever reliable Zappos.com a few years ago.  I needed new flats, so I searched for flats by the exact size and color I needed :)

Lastly, I got my cool rings from Varga.
