Sunshine On A Cloudy Day

Every morning I wake up and I ask myself, "What do I feel like wearing today?"  My clothing gives me a sense of comfort and security.  Sometimes I feel like a funky tomboy, and sometimes I feel really girly.  I don't fit into any one category because there's always so much going on in my head.

For this comfortable and girly look, I went to Forever 21 and grabbed this skirt:

I almost passed it up because it was so plain and wrinkly.  I think this is a rare find in a store like forever 21.

I love this blue Mossimo satchel I got at Target (here)!  It brightens up any outfit and brings a funky flare.

The cardigan, I found at H&M years ago.  This is an easy find that should be essential to every girl's wardrobe.

I got these awesome shoes at Zappos.com a long time ago (Blowfish Malibu).

The shirt was a hand-me-down from a friend.  I tied it in the back to accentuate my waist and voila, and easy breezy girly look topped with my favorite hat.

Take A Look Around

I've lived in Los Angeles my entire life and cannot remember the last time I took a stroll through the Venice Canals.  It's kinda silly how easily we can forget our surroundings and take advantage of what they have to offer.

Anywho, I am currently obsessed with this spanish hat I got from Nasty Gal last year.  It can turn a somewhat boring outfit into something fun and edgy in a snap!  I was inspired to wear this hat again because of American Horror Story: Coven.  I love how each characters wardrobe reflects who they were: talented and powerful women with very dynamic personalities.  It takes guts to wear big hats and high heels, and to be fashion forward.  I've had this hat for a while and haven't worn it much until now, mainly because I felt it might be too attention grabbing for a regular outing.  I love it and it makes me happy so why shouldn't I wear it?  I'm a funky girl with a very dynamic personality, so I'm going to wear my funky hat :)
